Join us for the first multisport conference and expo in North Carolina on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Duke University’s Wilson Center.
Sheila Taormina, an Olympic medalist, will headline the event as the keynote speaker. Sheila is the only person to compete in four Olympics in three different sports (swimming, triathlon and modern pentathlon). She brings a “hard work” attitude that will resonate with many multisport athletes. Separate from her keynote, Sheila will also teach a swim technique workshop.
In addition to the keynote, the Expo will have speakers and workshops throughout the day on a variety of topics including bike fitting, Chi running, race nutrition, sports injuries and athlete recovery.
To top it off, there are several other events planned.
The Expo will feature approximately 50 local and national exhibitors, including equipment and apparel retailers and manufacturers, coaches, race production companies, nutritional products and others.
Admission into the expo is free to the public. Please be aware that Duke University charges $10 to park.
ATTENTION USAT COACHES: YOU CAN EARN 7 CEU’S FOR ATTENDING THE EXPO. YOU MUST ATTEND THE FULL DAY OF SPEAKERS AND WORKSHOPS. FEE IS $60. CLICK ON REGISTRATION TO SIGN UP.
The majority of the workshops and clinics are also free. However, there are a few activities that have a fee (Sheila Taormina’s swim workshops, Chi Running, and Pilates). Fees for these workshops will be posted in the near future.
